Calma ("the app," "we") is a mindful breathing and support tool for moments of anxiety. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information the app handles and what it doesn't.
Summary
Calma does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any server. Everything you set up or record in the app —your trusted contact, your sound and haptic preferences, your breathing session history— is stored only on your own device, using iOS local storage (UserDefaults). We never see that information.
What information stays on your device
- Name and phone number of your trusted contact (if you choose to save one).
- Your preferred breathing technique, including any custom rhythm you create.
- Soundscape and guided vibration preferences.
- History of your completed breathing sessions (date, technique, duration), used only to show you your own stats inside the app.
- Your App Store account country (for example, "USA"), which the app reads from your own iPhone only to show you your country's emergency number.
None of this data leaves your iPhone. We don't keep copies anywhere.
How to delete your data
Since all information lives only on your device, you are in full control:
- In the app: Settings → Delete my data removes your trusted contact and your session history.
- If you uninstall the app, iOS permanently deletes all of its data.
Because we have no access to your information, we can't view, correct, or delete it for you from any server; even so, you can write to us with any request related to your personal data (access, correction, deletion, or objection) and we will respond.
In-app purchases (Calma Pro)
Calma Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (StoreKit), using your Apple Account. We don't receive or store your payment information — Apple manages it under its own privacy policy.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
Calma doesn't require you to create an account, doesn't show third-party ads, doesn't use analytics or ad-tracking tools, and doesn't share information with social networks or advertisers.
Health and wellness content notice
Calma is a supportive tool for mindful breathing; it does not replace evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a mental health professional. No data related to your use of the app is sent to health services, insurers, or third parties.
Children
Calma is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age, because it collects no personal information of any kind.
This website
These legal pages don't use cookies, analytics, or tracking tools.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing it occasionally.
